Why would a camel leave the oasis, in which there is still enough water and go into the desert?
There are always camels with a sense for imminent disaster who set off with a group before the oasis is dry…

We want to set off because we feel that things cannot go on like this. The bow is overstretched, as if humanity absolutely wants to experience the snap. There can no longer be “always on like this” on earth with its limited resources.

“The world has enough for everyone’s needs, but not for everyone’s greed.” Mahatma Gandhi

On one side there is poverty, on the other endless wealth. Inbetween there is an average European who owns 10,000 objects. Together, they produce 2 billion tons of garbage annually worldwide, which will rise to 3.4 billion tons by 2050. Terms such as throwaway society, consumer society and performance society shape the picture. This path has not made us happy.

We at 4dignity see ourselves as a community in which everyone contributes to a better future.
For us and the next generations.
